About

I'm an IT professional.  When I’m not in the office, counting the days of the work week, I like to explore the outdoors.  I’ve loved the outdoors since I was a little kid exploring my grandfather's two hundred acre farm.  I want to bring more African Americans into the outdoors with me.  With this blog I hope to inspire, educate, support and share with those who are interested in exploring this wild and vast land we live in.  Everyone from the first time ‘outdoorist’ to the grizzled veterans looking to try something new.  I know we all live busy lives so I will address specific topics and give my thoughts and recommendations to those who may not be interested in doing extensive research on tents, boots, electronics and other gear.  In short, those who don’t need to know about all the choices but can appreciate a recommendation.
